Skeleton: Korea’s Yun Sung-Bin Earned Gold

Yun Sung-bin, an athlete from South Korea, won a gold medal in skeleton. After 4 runs, he finished with the overall time of 3 minutes 20.55 seconds. The athlete had a fantastic season. He won 5 World Cup races as well as became a silver medalist of 2017 World Championships. A curious fact is that Yun became the first representative of Korea, who won a medal in sliding sport as well as the first athlete from Asia, who won a medal in skeleton.

The skeleton racer has already commented his victory: “It is not my effort alone that got me this medal. I would like to thank all my team for helping me, encouraging me. It is still unbelievable that I got the gold medal. I would like to again thank everyone on my team for always encouraging me”.

Nikita Tregubov, an Olympic Athlete from Russia, gained silver by finishing with the time of 3 minutes 22.18 seconds. And British athlete Dominic Parsons became a bronze medalist, finishing in 3 minutes 22.20 seconds.
