The team of Belgium managed to claim bronze medals at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. It’s the best result of Belgium at the World Cup ever. Belgium defeated England in the match for the third place with the score 2:0.
On the 4th minute, Thomas Meunier opened the score with a right footed shot to the centre of the goal, assisted by Nacer Chadli. The second goal was scored on the 82nd minute. Eden Hazard made a right footed shot to the bottom left corner after an assist by Kevin De Bruyne.
Eden Hazard was voted as Man of the Match. John Stones, Harry Maguire and Axel Witsel were shown yellow cards.
