2018 FIFA World Cup: Wins of Sweden, Belgium and England

On June 18, 3 matches took place at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and all of them ended with the victories of European teams. Sweden met with Korea Republic, Belgium played with Panama while England had a match with Tunisia.

The first match, Sweden - Korea Republic, ended with the score 1:0 in the favor of Sweden. It’s the first time since 1958, when the Swedish team won the opening match at a World Cup. The only goal was scored on the 65th minute by Andreas Granqvist. The Swedish centre-back converted the penalty with a right footed shot to the bottom right corner.

Granqvist was called Man of the Match not only for the scored goal, but also for the countless attacks he initiated. The yellow cards were given to Koreans Kim Shin-Wook and Hwang Hee-Chan as well as Swede Viktor Claesson.

Belgium gained a victory over Panama with the score 3:0. The score was opened on the 47th minute after a goal of Dries Mertens. On the 69th minute, Romelu Lukaku headed one more goal to the net of the team of Panama, being assisted by Kevin De Bruyne. The final point was set by Lukaku on the 75th minute, when he scored his second goal in the match, assisted by Eden Hazard.

The author of two goals, Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku was called Man of the Match. 8 yellow cards were given to the players of both teams during the game. They are Thomas Meunier, Eric Davis, Edgar Barcenas, Armando Cooper, Michael Murillo, Anibal Godoy, Jan Vertonghen and Kevin de Bruyne.

The final match of the day, between Tunisia and England, ended with the victory of the latter 1:2. On the 11th minute, the score was opened by Harry Kane, the captain of the English team. On the 35th minute, Tunisia answered with a goal of Ferjani Sassi, who converted a penalty to the bottom left corner. The final goal was scored by the English in the additional time, on the 91st minute. Kane scored another goal with his head, assisted by Harry Maguire.

The author of 2 goals, Harry Kane, was voted as Man of the Match. Through the game, only one yellow card was given. English defender, Kyle Walker got it for a bad foul.
