Fox Defends Fred Savage, Calls Accusations of Assault and Misconduct ‘Unfounded’
20th Century Fox Television on Wednesday issued a defense of Fred Savage, the star of its now-canceled sitcom “The Grinder,” after a former female crew member sued the actor and accused him of assault and other misconduct.In a statement issued Wednesday, 20th Century Fox Television said that it conducted “a thorough investigation” into accusations made by the former staffer, Youngjoo Hwang, and found “no evidence of any wrongdoing” on Savage’s part.
The studio also said that it would “vigorously defend against these unfounded claims.”
