Oh Dame! Emma Thompson Asked Prince William For a Kiss During Her Investiture Ceremony
Emma Thompson may be one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, but even she gets starstruck over royalty.
During an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday, the British actress just couldn't hide her excitement when she received her damehood from Prince William.
As the two came face to face, she threw royal protocol out the window and adorably tried to sneak a kiss.
"I love Prince William," she said about the royal.
"I've known him since he was little, and we just sniggered at each other.
I said, 'I can't kiss you, can I?' And he said, 'No don't!'" A woman after our own heart, to be honest.The actress was also joined by her family for the special occasion.
Following the ceremony, she posed alongside her husband, Greg Wise, her daughter, Gaia, and her son, Tindyebwa Agaba, who she adopted in 2004.
