A Kidnapped Fred Savage Lives Up to His Name in This Trailer For Once Upon a Deadpool
Deadpool is back for the holiday season, and he's bringing Fred Savage along for the ride (but not willingly).
Ryan Reynolds's Merc with the Mouth is kicking off the holidays with a PG-13 revamp of this year's Deadpool 2.
As the trailer for Once Upon a Deadpool demonstrates, this involves filtering the violent, profanity-filled film through "the prism of childlike innocence." Namely, kidnapping Savage, of The Princess Bride fame."Fox has been asking for a PG-13 basically since the start in 2006," Reynolds told Deadline on Monday.
"I've said no since 2006.
Now, this one time, I said 'Yes' on two conditions.
First, a portion of the proceeds had to go to charity.
Second, I wanted to kidnap Fred Savage.
