Speed Skating: The Dominance of Netherlands Continues with Jorien Ter Mors Winning a Gold Medal in Ladies’ 1000m

The trend of Dutch speed skaters to win gold in PyeongChang continues. Jorien ter Mors won gold in 1000 m women’s race, finishing in 1 minute 13.56 seconds. At 2014 Winter Olympics, the athlete won 2 gold medals in 1500m and women’s team pursuit.

Japanese speed skaters, Nao Kodaira, silver medalist of 2010 Winter Olympics in team pursuit, and Miho Takagi, who already won a bronze medal in 1000m in 2018 PyeongChang, won silver and bronze medals. Kodaira finished in 1 minute 13.82 seconds while Takagi completed the race in 1 minute 13.98 seconds.
