Luge: German Lugers Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt Won Men’s Doubles

German duo, Tobias Arlt and Tobias Wendl gained the second consecutive victory at the Olympic Games in men’s doubles. They finished with the total time of 1 minute 31.697 seconds and were the winners of the both runs. In such a way, the lugers defended their Olympic title, earned at 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Moreover, their victory ensures that a German doubles team has won a medal in each Winter Olympics since 1968.

Austrian lugers Peter Penz and Georg Fischler became silver medalists with the overall time of 1 minute 31.785 seconds. And, another German duo, Toni Eggert and Sascha Benecken, won bronze medals by finishing in 1 minute 31.987 seconds after 2 runs.
