Canadian Kelsey Serwa gained victory in women’s ski cross big final. In 2014, she was a silver medalist in Sochi. She already shared her emotions with the journalists: “I had a plan and executed it, and was so fired up. And to be there with my teammate and best friend Britt, too. It is very cool. It is very surreal to be the best in the world at something you put your heart into”.

Serwa admitted that during the run she concentrated, first of all, on getting the fundamentals right: “Then it was just like, 'OK, I've done everything I can, get through this finish stretch' and that was it. I looked back and I saw Britt there and it was the best moment of my life”.

Brittany Phelan, another Canadian in the big final, gained a silver medal while Swiss Fanny Smith became a bronze medalist. Sandra Naslund of Sweden finished 4th.
