Ellen DeGeneres’s Anniversary Gift For Portia Was 1 Big Fail, but Her Reaction Will Crack You Up
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of her very first date with Portia de Rossi, Ellen DeGeneres made quite the grand romantic gesture - except it didn't end up being so grand after all.
During a recent segment, the talk show host told the audience how she planned to surprise her wife by hiring a plane to fly a banner that read "15" in the sky as they hung out on the beach.
However, when the aircraft soared by, the banner wasn't quite as large as expected.
"I kept pointing to it, and she's like,'What is that?'" Ellen recalled.
Lol, awkward!Of course, the adorable couple laughed off the mix-up like champs.
