Ellen DeGeneres Gave Such a Heartwarming Gift to Fatima Ali, a Top Chef Alum With 1 Year to Live
Former Top Chef contestant Fatima Ali is going through an unimaginably tough time, and Ellen DeGeneres wanted to help a little bit.
Chef Fatima, 29, was told she has one year left to live after her cancer came back, and all she wants to do is travel the world and eat the most delicious food.
"I have so many restaurants I want to go to around Europe.
You're obviously invited - so is Portia," Fatima told Ellen.
Fatima's friends have started a GoFundMe page to help with the expenses, but Ellen sped things up with a generous donation of $50,000 courtesy of Shutterfly.
