Big Little Lies Finally Got to the Ice Cream Scene, But It Was a Bit of a Letdown
All season long, we've been waiting for one particular scene. Last year, some paparazzi shots caught Reese Witherspoon, in character as Madeline, hurling ice cream at Meryl Streep, in character as Mary Louise.
Back then, in August of 2018, we couldn't have imagined why anyone would want to throw ice cream at Meryl Streep, but as soon as we actually met Mary Louise and found out that she's absolutely horrendous, we fully understood.
We too would like to throw ice cream at Meryl Streep.
We should all want to throw ice cream at Meryl Streep. Finally, tonight, the long-awaited scene arrived, and there was No Ice Cream Thrown.
