On July 10, the first semifinal took place at 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Playing against Belgium, France managed to gain the desirable victory and secure the place in the final. It’s the third time France reached the World Cup final in 20 years.

The match ended with the score 1:0. With no goals in the first period, Samuel Umtiti scored the only goal in the match, which led to his team’s victory. On the 51st minute, the French defender headed from the right side of the six yard box to the top right corner after an assist of Antoine Griezmann with a cross following a corner.

Unsurprisingly, Samuel Umtiti was called a Man of the Match. The yellow cards were shown to Eden Hazard, Toby Alderweireld, N’golo Kante, Kylian Mbappe and Jan Vertonghen.
