2018 FIFA World Cup: Croatia Reached Its First Final of the World Cup

On July 11, the team of Croatia gained a historic victory over England in the semifinal of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and proceeded to its first World Cup final ever. Thus, on July 15, we will have a very spectacular match between France and Croatia.

The hard match for both teams ended with the score 2:1 in the favor of Croatia. On the 5th minute, Kieran Trippier made England lead after scoring the first goal in the match from a free kick with a right footed shot to the top right corner. The dominance of England lasted till the 68th minute, when Ivan Perisic evened the score with a left footed shot to the bottom left corner, assisted by Sime Vrsaljko.

As the match ended with a draw in the regular time, the teams continued the match in extra time. On the 109th minute, Mario Mandzukic scored the decisive goal to the bottom right corner after an assist from Ivan Perisic.

Ivan Perisic was voted as Man of the Match for his tireless work, assist and a goal, which evened the score and led to the extra time. Mario Mandzukic, Kyle Walker, Ante Rebic were shown yellow cards.
