Bruce Irvin is a professional American football player who plays the position of outside linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League. He attended West Virginia University, where he was a top defensive contender and led the team in sacks during the 2011 season. He was then taken 15th overall in the 2012 NFL draft by the Seahawks, winning Super Bowl XLVIII in his first season.Irvin has since become a leader on the defensive side of the ball, and has continued to bring his zip and playmaking skills to the game, producing a total of 27.5 sacks and eight forced fumbles in his five years with the Hawks.
