While in high school in a Chicago suburb, she pursued her passion in Speech, Contest Play, and other dramatic arts.Upon receiving a BFA in acting from Ithaca College, Alison returned to Chicago to pursue a professional career. She appeared in productions at First Folio Theatre, Chicago Dramatists, Writers Theatre and Redmoon Theatre, as well as regionally, as Laura in the Cleveland Playhouse production of "The Glass Menagerie" opposite Linda Purl.A life-long learner, Alison continued her studies with Steve Scott of the Goodman Theatre and Michael Gellman at The Second City.
