Figure Skating: Germany Wins Gold in Pair Skating

German figure skaters, Aljona Savchenko and Bruno Massot, became gold medalists in pair figure skating though they were on the fourth place after competing with their short program. Moreover, they set a pairs free program record by earning 159.31 points. It’s the third Olympic medal for Savchenko. At 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics, she won bronze medals, skating in duo with Robin Szolkowy. And, her partner, Bruno Massot, debuted at the Olympic Games this year.

Chinese duo, Wenjing Sui and Cong Hang, who were on the first place after the first day of competition in short program, took silver. Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford from Canada gained bronze medals.
